
The sequence here from Melissa Copland (@mpcopland) could be used in multiple ways. A few suggestions are given.
- Learners could be given the plotted graphs and the equations and asked to match them.
- Learners could predict what each graph will look like, including the details of it’s key features and points before checking their prediction either through doing the appropriate working or using a tool such as Desmos.
- Learners could generate their own examples in a similar or different pattern.
- Learners could generalise for roots x = m and x = n and for constant multiplier k.
