As many Higher teachers will testify, some pupils struggle with making sense of which points and which gradients to use when establishing the equation of a median or altitude.  This task isolates the particular skill of deciding what is required.  Follow up tasks could involved using different names for the vertices and/or asking learners to generate their own questions.
