It is important for pupils to have a sense of what these lines look like, before algebra is introduced.
Ideally time would be taken to do some work on constructions but this is often skipped off the curriculum in Scotland due to time constraints.
Further questions can be easily generated, such that pupils draw multiple lines per triangle and indicate the points of intersection.
