This task is almost exclusively focused on develop procedural fluency in solving simultaneous equations by elimination. I really struggled to find a textbook exercise which did a block of equations with no scaling required, a block with scaling of one equation required and then a block with scaling of both equations required. This task is the result of that frustration. It’s going to be a revision task for my S4 class.
