An interesting discussion in class prompted this task.

Normally I would convert log expressions straight to power form (mentally or on paper).

When I wrote the first two log statements from question 1, I noticed the inverse relationship. I asked pupils to predict what the second row of log statements would look like, and how we might reason them, without having to re-write or re-think in power notation.
