This task requires all of the cards to be cut up in advanced. I have been using it for a class where we are working on basic place value. Some of the pupils are not proficient in English, so this task serves an EAL purpose too. I have used similar sounding numbers for this reason: 16 and 60, 17 and 70. This is often a source of confusion. I have omitted ‘and’ on purpose.
