Multiplication and Division by 10,100,1000

This sequence of tasks draws upon Gattegno’s tens chart.  It captures some of the ways I use the chart with pupils.  I’m not suggesting that teachers necessarily use this as a worksheet.  I have found using mini whiteboards, in a whole class situation – encouraging moments for paired conversations to be productive.  This set of tasks might offer some ideas of where to go.
